On my 53 I'm using Autolite 308 plugs These are resistor plugs. Is this the correct plug? Are resistor plugs OK?

I'm using AC-45r on my '54 327. You can also find non-resistor AC-45s on ebay all the time. Also there are available from Tractor supply stores for agricultural use. This was the same plug used on late 60s Camaros.

Yes, AC45 or 46, resistor or not, also run well in most of these Packards. I certainly wouldn't use the resistor plug if you already have resistor wires but lot of folks run resistor plugs with copper-core wire with fine results.

Dave, thats exactly what I am running in my car, vintage stock Packard (Electric) 440 wire with a solid copper core which came on a roll.
