I belive this mint condition 1923 126 Touring Sedan #232 is very rare since I can not find any photos of it online. Is my assumption correct?

Body style may be rare, condition will depend on several things. This looks like a sound car and I am sure has a good story to go with it. There is one gentleman in HA in his 90's now that at one time knew about nearly if not all Packards in HA. I met him in the mid 60's and he drove a 29 often around the island on Sunday mornings. I could have bought it and wished I did. I ultimately brought a 39 Ford Std cpe back to the mainland. Would like to hear about this Packard and its history and see more pictures, engine, interior and close ups.

G'day Mark,
to PackardInfo but sorry I can't answer your questions here or in your other post. But I invite you to include your '23 E 6 cylinder Touring Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry. Not many older Packards listed so it'd be great to have another.

NOte this car has no side door windows or door frames. I appears to be a touring car which is an open car and has had a semi-fixed top installed. These tops were often locally made, that is why you do not find identical photos. Do not have reference books handy to check #232

Kev said: A vehicle number will tell the tale.

Kev, if you're making reference to the first portion of the VN identifying the body style, that system didn't come into force until 1932.

Mark, welcome to PackardInfo.com.

If you sign in there, you'll perhaps get in contact with other owners. The photos don't work but according to the list there are a couple of 1923 Touring's.

Edit: Well, no Touring Sedan listed.

Make a call to Guy Slaughter, Judson Ihrig or Harley Neff, all of whom are in the Oahu phone book and they can help you identify the car and assess the condition. Guy is the fellow mentioned above who used to drive his 1930 734 Speedster around regularly. Jud is an encyclopedia on all makes of early cars and Harley owned a 640 Phaeton until a few years ago when I bought it from him.
