Hi Eduardo, welcome to PackardInfo.com!

Although no pictures of a restored/original car but at least the 1953 Packard exterior paint chips (click to enlarge).

BTW My new monitor makes me believe that Dresden Gray and Polaris Blue are the same...

Hello Eduardo:

Use this link here to go to eBay and buy color samples for your car:http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=packard+paint+1953&_sacat=See-All-Categories

Buy samples from several different paint supppliers. Remember, the color printing process on paper varies greatly so you will want get a good representative sample of the color you want. Also, the color printing process does not reproduce the metallic effect very well. But the mixing paint code will show that a metallic base is required for your color.

Best of luck.

Any auto paint dealer, such as Sico, RM, PPG can mix the paint for you. They will probably have to ask their head office for the formula but this usually takes only a few hours.

I purchased a rattle can of both colors to match the Gray on my 1954 Clipper. Neither did and they are very different.
