Hello folks,
would anyone know what the resistance (ohms)is for a 1934 packard sending unit? I need the empty and full resistance.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you Roberto 650-219-8305

Wish I would have taken measurements from my 34 Eight sending unit when I had the tank down, but alas I didn't. They might be the same as the 38 unit, but the units themselves are totally different. You didn't say which 34 you have, but I believe (without checking the parts book) that the Twelve units are different from the Eights and Super Eights (if you're lucky enough to have a Twelve).

Dear cityvintage:

I think you are looking at zero to 150ohms if memory serves me correctly. However the man to contact is John Wolf Enterprises. He can overhaul your unit and make it perform like new. I used to send everything to him as a matter of practice because it just wasn't worth fooling around.

I second Tim's comment, Wolf has a deservedly excellent reputation for gauge and instrument work.
