Hey, thanks for clarifying that, Gator. The Packard manual I looked at on the site did not go into that much detail, or else I didn't find all the info it gave. Once again... I know nothing for sure, as I am not an expert. But now I know a little bit more about axle ratios. Good for you for knowing your car well, and I didn't mean to go into a long spiel about something you already knew better than I did.

Also, I wasn't sure about the year of your car, so as I noted in the post, the ratios were from the '52 Manual (sales manual, I believe). So now, too late, I looked at an earlier post and see that your car is a '53. I'm not really up for opening that doc again and checking to see if something changed betwee '52 and '53. Ah is iggorant about that infomation and ah is gonna stay thataway. Unless someone smarter and more ambitious wants to straighten it out for me.
