Without going down to the parts bin to verify, I think I have several. How many do you need?

to confirm.... these are Stainless steel?
and i need 4, that was what was on the studs that held down the intake manifold on my car anyways. pretty darn thick, but mine are all rusty and i don't want to paint them and mix them with my nice new stainless hardware. i think that would look tacky. they go on these studs, which i also plan to replace with SS. thanks for the help OD! Hank

yeah i'm using an analog caliper, so it could be they are slight less then .225....maybe more like yours. i was just guessing based on my calipers.
this is fun, expensive, but fun and i like the way it is going to make the engine look. plus they wont rust and i don't have to paint them, so if they ever need to come off i dont' have to worry about the paint on the bolt head. win/win Hank

Sorry, I missed that you wanted new stainless steel, mine were taken from an old engine. Suggest you try MSC, they have a huge variety of stainless hardware.
You might also try Tioga Stainless.

Henry, I reused the fasteners and painted them when I did the engine cleaning on my 55 Clipper. Your engine should look most attractive with all stainless steel fasteners and new paint. Looking forward to seeing it at Salado.

i'm gonna have to measure the diameter of those before i buy the ones that HH came up with. they may be wider the 1", but from your picture i may just be second guessing myself.
i don't plan on having to take this stuff off again, but if i ever have to i wont have to worry about paint or rust. i plan on replacing those studs too. as for the motor mounts and starter bolts, i'll use grade 8, which should last a good long time before rusting. i don't think SS will be strong enough for those parts. but SS should be great for all the accessories on the motor. thanks for the pic, reminds me i need to find my valve cover mounded spark plug wire holders....i have no idea what happened to them, but i know i used to have them as i had pics of them....gotta be somewhere in my shed. so far all the stainless fastners/washer/lock washers that i could ever need and then some has come out to alittle over 65 on ebay. not bad and i'll have tons left over. it was WAY cheaper going ebay route vs. lowes/HD. and i earn ebay bucks. ;0) i also plan on buying SS 1/4" tubing for the motor too. i like it...not too flashy. Henry, we have a good fastener store here: Austin Bolt. I have found buying fasteners there costs much less than going to Home Depot or Lowe's. I would certainly expect there is such a store in your area. Plus they have other associated merchandise too.
