We are planning to bond our repro running board mats this week and have been trying to find pics of 38-9 running boards to figure out where to trim the excess so the ribs don't end up looking crooked. If anyone has some good pics on hand or even better; if any one has measurements from the trim to the first rib front, center and rear. Thank you.

I have a '38 Eight model 1601 with original running boards. Do you still need some help with measurements?

Also, my rubber surfaces are not real nice but still look okay. I have been looking for replacements with none available anywhere. Please fill me in on what you are using as new rubber. Are they covers or bonded mats to the metal? Any info would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

The only source for correct restoration of 38-40 Junior runningboards is Hundley Acuff in Georgia. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
