Fred, Would it be the 19 gal. or 21 gal, and what kind of price?

In some year ranges Packard made two capacity tanks which I'l call small and large. They differed by 2 or 3 gallons, Sixes had the smaller one, big 356's had the bigger one and models in between had one or the other.

We will make the larger tank and supply longer straps, that's the main difference, they'll fit perfectly but hang 3/4" or so lower.

The sending in the bigger tank of course will work as original, in the smaller tank you can either bend the arm down a bit or if not , when your gauge reads empty you will have a 2 gallon reserve.

Thanks for the interest and all the PM's

Fred and Dan

Thanks Dallas, for correcting me, I was just guessing at the smaller tank.

Hello everyone,

I have a 1950 Deluxe Club with the 288 cid and I am also interested in a new gas tank. In a recent tel conversation with Kanter Auto parts, I was told that no plans are underway for 1950 gas tanks. Any updates would be appreciated, since I don't want to depend on the original gas tank being salvageable after I remove it. Thanks.
