Pain to get off.
Need a long hot plate.

This must be a 2 layer pcb . now to figure out where 87a and 30 are connected.

If this can be made to work.

Without pins fitting no problem.

Might have to replace a part. Knocked insulation off.

Might be a resistor..

Edit.

To cut power to 87a. Easiest is to cut foil .

87a contact is solder blob between d4.d5

If we have exhausted our options for timing relays, I could make a custom PCB for that purpose. It would probably take a few hours to design.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Riki found another relay with a 5 second time but with the limited documentation the vendor provided, at first look it appears to be the same type that needs voltage at pin 30. Relay comes from China so if he decides to try one it may be awhile before any testing or answers will be available.

Forgot I cut open a relay couple years ago.

This should be the same as the ones you bought.

I noticed. Might be same board a other.

Looks like a pot can be put in .

But would have to find the resistor.. To remove.

Fyi

One problem I found is that the contacts were not making contact.

30.87.87a.

Mine were sitting for years. Even the one still sealed.

Which I cut. To find out.

The relays are questionable.. At this point.

H.

The ones you bought may be better.. But. Looks like they all use the same relay.

Maybe with use they will work better.

Talking with electronic wiz.

Said easiest to do is change capacitor. To change delay.

So the. Capacitor on my relay 100uf.

So somewhere in the 50s range would get 5 or so seconds.

That's if someone wants to cut open the relays..

Specs on those relays are 10 seconds +/- 2 seconds. Packard spec for the original sw is 5-7 seconds.

Can't this be done without any physical relay and just switching electronics instead?
