And flood insurance. A neighbors relative from Indiana is visiting and said the town she lives in just had a rainstorm the weatherman said was of the 500 year variety. She had spent a few days emptying their basement of water. Between the humidity, tornados, rain and snow I think I would rather take my chances of Calif falling off into the ocean.

Any property we buy is going to have the buildings at a higher grade than the surrounding land.

First time I was in the midwest I commented on all the lakes and ponds in the area. To which was responded "Those?!, those are all retention ponds!"

West Texas is the place to be! Low humidity, low property taxes and no state tax! Matter of fact I have a place for sale here. As the crow flies 2 miles from the airport, a 3000 sq ft house with 3 car garage, a mother-in-law house (or guest house for a lack of better terms), a 60x40 insulated shop and less than a mile from the city limits!

It's sitting on 4.5 acres and it has a big courtyard thats gravel so you don't have to mow it, so there's enough room for many Packards.

John, 95F with low humidity here feels better than 85F with high humidity in Pennsylvania. I moved here from upstate new York and I couldnt believe how the summers here are so much easier on me.

Pm me your email and I'll shoot you some pictures.
