The cylinder unit sure is a nice fit. Where did they put the power unit? Be interesting to see the final pictures and have your impressions on how it works with the stock pedal ratio. Hopefully all will be as ABS advertised.

Other one I can think of that might have been installed was Jeds but think the pedal arrangement was different. Not even sure it was installed as no pictures posted that I can recall. His last post appears to be over a year ago so maybe he found other interests.

I see you have the two terminal brake switch. Whose conversion did you go with?

I have been slack with visiting the packardinfo site

2012 a new year and with a new years resolution of getting both the Packards working, the 55 Packard is progressing nicely, hopefully in 2 -3 months she'll be back on the road. Today the rest of the brake system was installed, picture attached. The brakes need to be bled and a battery installed before we will know exactly how well the system will work. I have also attached an image of the current state of the vehicle.

Having a BTV on my own car, I wonder if the cause of your BTV failure has been determined?

Unfortunately Tom, I haven't determined what caused the failure, though it would be interesting to find out what did go wrong. The red car in the picture is a Lancia, sorry I don't know what the year or model is.

Hi Tom,

Sorry for the long delay in replying, the vehicle in the picture is a Stratos.

Today, the first time since Oct 2009, the 1955 Caribbean fired for the first time with the newly rejetted dual 4bbl Carburetors. It was fantastic to hear the engine come to life again. Hopefully early next week we will take the car for its first test drive. I will report on how it goes and how the new brake system works

Cheers,

I also have used the ABS system and posted pics in this thread
brake switch to abs master cylinder with electric pump
i have dealt with them through out the process and they have been helpful in assisting in installation i located my remote fill canister above the steering column because the location under the fender seems harder to access hope the info helps someone .
