In the set up stage. When hard. Little filing.
Then cut the part the clip is on to about 3/8s.

Started to use a file. Contacts to soft. Used a Dremel on low speed.
My wiring plan is to un solder push button in car and solder micro switches. I think there is enough slack to adjust wires. Pull out old contact board. Put in angle brackets.

Can't swap in car. Cause you need to remove rivets holding contact plate.
Contacts plate no. 2-56 screws. Finally have wiring done. Just need to wrap wires in the middle. Then once in housing route the wires. Add another piece of insulation over solder joints. Attach file: 20210327_180930.jpg (175.89 KB) 20210327_180950.jpg (196.33 KB) 20210327_215535.jpg (254.13 KB)

This seems to work. With some more fitting
With top on. Continuity checks out no grounding to case. The corner which takes long bolt needs adjusting. Cut slits in gasket material and form it possibly use tape to hold it back Wiring checks out. Pushing buttons. Plenty of slack. Silicone wire was easy to get down steering column
Probably should of added red.w. and orange wire to cover. I think there is enough slack to put the. Harness under the hood. Might get a 12 pole. I would have a space . between shifts. One terminal strip ....instead of two.

Nicely done! Terminal blocks seen like a good idea. Easy to get to and identify problems.
