I can't get the link to work, keeps coming up with a Facebook 'page not available'. Am I the only one?

In your case?

Probably. ;)

Are you going to the car show?

Well, the link is working now. Operator error maybe?

What car show are you talking about?

The Packard National show this weekend. Well, it may be going on already, but it won't amount to much until Wat arrives.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

I know that inflation is up but I haven't seen these prices for a V12 convertible coupe.

At that price I would expect an MSO instead of a title, and negative mileage on the clock!

If you look closely at the 35 club sedan you will see a CCCA senior badge on the right cowl. I think that car belonged to Bill Stuhlman and is pictured in Turnquist's book. At that time, it was mint original. And I mean mint. But Bill got sick with brain meningitis and almost died. The car went elsewhere and has certainly suffered ignominiously.

I think it's this car that floated around at the Mecum auction for about a year. The tear in the front seat looks the same, and it still has the same blue coil.

I saw that 55 posted a while back. Not surprised at all that it's still for sale. "The overall condition in my opinion is stellar." Really? "...has a ton of potential." Well I can agree with that.

- Needs hubcap, headlight trim, door handle(s)
- Paint on the trunk is shot
- Needs seats redone
- Some of the lettering on the side is literally taped on
- Needs headliner
- Door cards need upholstery work in places
- Needs carpet
- Weird stains on passenger side of dashboard.
- Paint is shot on the dash
- Needs brakes done

And you know what they say, never trust an ad where the pictures were taken at night! You can rest assured that the paint will look way worse in the light.

I mean, it's a solid project car but I would be reluctant to pay even 1/2 of what they're asking. You could compare this listing to this post, $5500 for a nice 400 with a parts car too.

Not to sound too ranty, it's just funny to me how someone will take 20 pictures and write a whole essay on their post, but then (apparently) price it off some inflated-market inflated-condition blue book value.
