That 400 is actually cross posted on the forum here:https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=26286

That Patrician I am surprised is still for sale. It's been posted maybe twice already over the past few months.

I suspect that it is either unpopular car/location, or it has rust issues.

Here is another one in the area:https://huntsville.craigslist.org/cto/d/huntsville-1955-packard/7563655350.html

The ad even says "no rust", despite the fact that you can see it on the illustrations. I guess people have widely different meaning\standards describing a car's condition.

Rough around the edges but looks pretty good overall
Unknown mechanical issues

56 Executive "untouched for 40 years!" I wonder why... hard to believe it was garaged the whole time from the rust eating thru the ¼ panels...

I've seen that Exec in Cincy. It's rough as a cob. That's where my limo came from - same guy(s).

They do have an okay '47 Clipper 6 sedan which I can't get them to get real about. I want it for the body and front end sheet metal. Some guy in Texas Was allegedly going to take it, and send half of the money and was going to bring the other half, and blah x 3. I told him what I always tell them: I'm standing here, and my cash is green. Wish in one hand and $hit in the other . . . .

They lost their storage yesterday. Again, they told the Guy From TX story, so who knows?

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Seriously what is up with that 53 😂

"Restoration began 2017" We can all agree something began in 2017 but I wouldn't call it that...

"new refinished luxury interior." But no pictures of the seats, just the door cards which remind me of Mexican blankets. Not to judge someone's taste but come on now... if it's "refinished" and "luxury" then surely there is no fear in showing it?

"New paint and body work." Yes, who doesn't want a freshly painted grille and hood ornament? Tailfins and taillight housings too. No attention paid to the rear bumper though, which is very rusty.

"All original (restored) electrical." Is it original OR restored? Repaired? You can't "restore" old wiring any more than you can restore ratty fabric.

Instead of more car pics, seller has eight (8) pictures of gasoline receipts. Why? Why not, I guess.

Some things I noticed in the pictures:
- Screwed on door panels instead of upholstery clips
- No door locks look right
- Silicone on driver's vent window gasket
- Carpet is either ratty or missing
- Instrument cluster and front bumper not even cleaned/polished
- Hood and trunk emblems missing

Looks nice for a "goin' to town car". Does not look nice for being the seller's "2nd completed restoration"... And the low mileage of 35k does little to offset the $20k asking price.
