RE: the Orange County eight.
"The low mileage 288 ci straight eight engine is running strong and smooth and still wears its original Bell Green paint as from the factory."

No, I don't think so.

a. That engine paint is definitely not original.
b. The 288 came from the factory painted gray.
c. It's the wrong green anyway. The Bell Telephone or Packard green is more olive.

Nice appearing car though. [/end rant]

Not to steal the thunder from Craigslist.com but have you checked out

http://www.countryclassiccars.com/ ?

It is a dealership that has a lot of cars and the occaisional Packard. The day I looked there was a 55 400 and a 56 Clipper. The cars are not in too bad shape either. I just go there and drool, uh look at what they have. Heck it would be fun to work there, would it be work if you enjoy yourself at work?

Not that I need another project (usually get driver ready cars) but THAT"S A 56 CARRIBEAN AND 56 400 FOR $3500!!! I just bought them both

EDIT: the original owner of the Carribean is still ALIVE. The 56 400 is a 'donor car for the Carribean. The cars are being sold because the barn they are in is being torn down, soon!
