You can download a PDF of that catalog at:

Thanks Brian, I have done that, but scrolling up/down - back/forth is a PITA. I'm not a big fan of PDFs. In this case I would rather have the catalog to peruse. PDFs are ok if you are going in after one fact just as microfilm was ok looking up one detail. Books will never become obsolete.

Agreed - plus books don't require AC or batteries (just enough light to read by).

Still, the PDF comes in handy, especially if you need to print a disposable page or two.

Meanwhile, judging from eBay and what I've seen at swap meets, having all this great PackardInfo available in PDF hasn't hurt the value of original pieces at all.

An afterthought after installing the rear sway bar backwards. It would be easy to mark the rear-facing side of each bar with a file notch to remind you how to install them with the new bushings.

I received the new headlight wiring from R.I. Wiring today and installed it in the headlight buckets. You have to save the bucket plug and core it like you would an apple, but it slides on easily with some help from PB Blaster.

The headlight junction blocks were a mess also. I ordered some fish paper and will update the terminals as soon as it arrives.

Randy,

The new RI wiring on your headlight buckets looks great. My original headlignt wiring is in very poor condition as well and I would like to perform the same upgrade. Would you mind posting the part number and contact information to RI wiring?

Thanks,
Robert.

Glad to Robert:

then look at the year of your car on the left. They also sell good terminals instead of the crap at Pep, Advance, etc.
Just have a little patience coring out the bucket plug and lube it with some PB Blaster.
