Out stretching the legs with my 2126, and came across this 38 / 39? Packard. Had to look hard, not much left! Located at Sandy Creek, halfway between Broken Hill and Menindee, far west NSW Australia.

You can see it above the bonnet (hood).

Thief proof number - 422924

Lyndon,

Good to see you're out and about in the Packard. But the 38/39 looks like a perfect restoration project for you!

1938. 110 RHD, I think. Front sway bar noted.

David,

I'd offer to go get the sway bar if you wanted it but, being about 1,000kms west of Bowral, it's just a little more than a Sunday drive for me.

Mal, calculate it in miles and it's not that far!

No sway bar required, just noted for interest. Not much of the car left at all...definitely been picked over. When you go though, be sure to get a better photo of the data sticker...its faded a bit over the years and I cannot read it.

Whereabouts is the data sticker? I can get a better photo. This is only a 30 minute drive from my house.

BDC,

1,000kms = 600 miles approx, but still too far even though the speedo in the Coupe runs about 10% fast!

625 miles to be exact Mal.
I like the metric system a lot better than this ancient "standard" system we use up here; there's nothing standard about it!
