Regarding the Mopar roadster, picture 0022, it looks like a Plymouth model PA, introduced in June, 1931 according to my "American Cars Spotter's Guide". The radiator grille is both unique to Plymouths and probably very inexpensive to make. Also, contemporary De Sotos and Dodges had double bar front bumpers while Plymouth had a single bar as does the one shown above.

Tinpan, thanks for posting those nice photos of some great cars. I never cease to be impressed with the perfection of the lines and proportions of those Chrysler phaetons. The numbering of the New Jersey historic plates agrees with the era of the photos, I believe NJ first issued historic plates in 1968 with the series beginning with the QQ A-XXX series, my plate is QQ-A-736 and was issued very early in the 1st year.

If you have more, please continue.

Well, to me this has been a really enjoyable thread, both by contributing, seeing the contributions of others which I hope continues, and seeing that yet others have enjoyed it. By the time of the Centennial in 1999 I had pretty much given up slides and gone over to Fujicolor so let me end up with a few of them (some mine, some by others) of some interesting and unusual Packards.

The first 2 are of a 1922 Twin Six "cape top" built for our WW I General "Blackjack" Pershing - note the absence of rear doors; if memory serves the coachwork was by Fleetwood who built on many different chassis until GM bought them in 1925. EDIT - it was built by Brunn! I don't recall the details on the next one - perhaps someone else can fill in the blanks. Then a Rollston 443 and a pair from the Bob Bahre collection taken during our visit to his collection after the 2005 Boston (Danvers) PAC National, a '34 Twelve Dietrich and a 1941 by Bohman & Schwartz; Bob's collection is probably best known for having all 3 styles of the '34 Twelve LeBarons. Then 3 photos from the Centennial, the front-wheel drive V12 prototype; many of us didn't know still existed until we saw it there, again from the Bahre collection. And then two photos of a lovely Murphy town car; that's well-known Packard authority Jim Pearsall behind the wheel. The first photo at the Centennial and 2nd at the Danvers National. Then a pair of rebodied Packards, the Ruth Gordon car which mounted the body from her earlier Pierce-Arrow on a new Twelve chassis; there is a photo of this car in Life magazine at the inauguration of Dwight Eisenhower as President, photo taken at the Rockerfeller Petit Jean museum about 1970 and the car still exists though was repainted a hideous blue when at Warren a few years ago. And then the Barbara Hutton car, rebodied with an earlier Brewster body from an older Rolls; color photo taken at the PAC National in Gettysburg just a few years ago.

Hope you continue to enjoy.

CORRECTION: The car I identified as the ex-Gen. Pershing car was not his, first owner was a coal baron from western PA or West Virginia, and yes - it's by Brunn. So perhaps the unidentified car, 3rd photo, was the Fleetwood for Pershing?

I like the 1922 cape top but the bumpers are hideous IMO. Those 34 LeBaron's are just gorgeous. I saw one up close a couple years ago in the Marano collection.

PS - any takers on identifying the radiator cap in picture #2 of post #29 (I know the answer)?

O_D, I think it is a Stearns Knight, an upmarket version of the Willys Knight. Last year, I believe, was 1930.

Free cup of coffee to JW for the correct answer, but he's going to have to go to Traverse City to collect it.

BDC, yes they are so exceptional. The roadsteer and coupe were on the 1106 chassis, a chassis reserved just for these two body styles; the phaetons were on the 1108 chassis. Here's a bit of a mix of photos of some of them, some real and some reproductions, some my photos and others not. Though we've discussed it before on these pages one interesting feature that you can see on one Bahre's LeBarons is the unique rear view mirrors attached to the front headlight bracket and sweeping up over the fender - stylist but probably not very practical. The dark green one owned by Carmine Zeccardi had a factory-sponsored facelift to a '35 nose clip and other changes.

All these LeBarons have fairly well-developed histories, I think the 3nd and 3rd photos are the ex-Paul Stern car. And one owner of a roadster was found murdered and the car stolen, Wendell something-or-other was his name IIRC. West may chime in on this, he's also quite familiar with them.

The red convertible in the lower right of the quartet of the Marano cars is a prewar 120 bodied after the war in Italy by Vignale.
