Hi Corey

Welcome and glad to have your youthful enthusiasm directed toward a Packard. Good advice from all for you to consider, a bit of perspective and caution before you get in too deep.

Since you're determined to work with the car you have, here are a couple other parts cars near enough that may be worth your time to acquire to assist in the process.

A '40 sedan, looks to also be a 110 six by the fenders and hood length:

A '41 coupe, by the fender-mounted headlight and larger side window openings:

Anything you do will be a good learn experience whether you restore it completely or not. Please start a project blog where we can follow your progress and enable you to post your questions and easily find advice as you proceed.

Take a realistic outlook, enjoy the process, good luck.

Steve

Corey, welcome to the world of Packards & Packardinfo. If you ask me, I would suggest staying with a 6 cylinder as modifying the body to fit an 8 cylinder would cost more than rebuilding a 6. Also remember a straight 6 is inherently in balance and smooth running, even compared to some of todays V-6's. Good luck with your 110!

Corey for including your '40 One-Ten 4-Door Touring Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry. Although photos don't always tell the tale, it doesn't look as bad as I expected, maybe there's a chance for it?

Corey,
Check out the local Packard clubs in your area. Here's link to the Packard Club that has a list.
http://www.packardclub.org/ I'm not sure which one would be near you but what the heck make contact. You might find someone to help you with your project.
Of course these guys here are a wealth of knowledge and very helpful.
Welcome and look forward to seeing your project posts.
