I'm no expert, but I believe those tail lights were used up to '48. The key is the grill, used from '41 and '42.

With the divided tail lights and no turn signal lever the question is which is correct. The levers just externally bolt to the switch on the bottom of the shroud so did the lever fall or break off or are the wrong tail light lens and bezels installed. There is a non turn signal lens and bezel laying in the trunk.

23rd series had pods, no bezels (except for the station sedan).

Think you are right. I can't see the ones on the car that clearly but they do appear smoother than the non turn signal bezel laying in the trunk. Maybe an owner was adding turn signals and found the lights in a junkyard 48.
