THe black '48 coupe should be interesting to enjoy with the vacuum advance line connected to the choke heat element.

This 1948 PACKARD DELUXE EIGHT SERIES, runs AND DRIVES very good and it's in great condition

Makes you kind of wonder if he has driven old cars before or if there is enough vacuum at the choke inlet to actually work the advance. If the advance isn't working I wonder how the temp and a few other incidentals are doing. If the car truly is running well, advances must be horribly overrated and we can all disconnect them. Maybe the guy has figured a new way to make both items work. Just think how much money Packard and the other mfgs could have saved without that pesky manifold choke stove finish work.

Hi

A variety of series and prices:

A'47 Clipper Six, drivable project:
https://providence.craigslist.org/cto/d/1947-packard-clipper/6253704862.html

Two '50 23rd Series models:

An Eight, looks good, needs brake work, 'Egyptian' ornament:
https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/d/1950-packard/6212662512.html

A Super Eight, wire wheels, ready to enjoy:
https://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/d/1950-packard/6201143811.html

A '53 Patrician, by the upholstery and gravel guard, 50K miles:
https://nh.craigslist.org/cto/d/1953-packard/6206462014.html

CL curiosities:
Why since Craigslist is free, do sellers list more than one car on their posting?
Why when the car is listed as running well, doesn't the seller bother to drive it out of the garage into the daylight to take good photos?

Steve, I think a lot of CL sellers fit in the "you can't fix stupid" category.

I responded to a CL listing this week. It was posted for a day and I asked the guy when I could come and look. His answer: I'm in Alaska till winter, I can show you when I come back.
Why bother to post if you can't show it!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you

Hi BDC

"...a lot of CL sellers fit in the "you can't fix stupid" category." How true, how true! Displayed for all to see on-line too!

A '20 Truck, preserved original, stuck engine, rare but pricey:
https://albany.craigslist.org/cto/d/1920-packard-truck/6260443090.html

A '49 Super Deluxe Eight, 23rd Series, 34K miles, good starter project:
https://florencesc.craigslist.org/cto/d/1949-packard-supereight/6232526763.html

A '57 Clipper town sedan, pretty two-tone turquoise, A/C, well optioned. Fragile original upholstery and rare turquoise and black tweed carpets, correct dash pad. Ready to enjoy, not cheap:
https://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/d/1957-packard-clipper-4-door/6261072708.html

Steve

Added 8-21-2017:
A '40 110 sedan to be auctioned to satisfy a mechanic lien, Champlain, NY, 8-31-2017:

1947 Packard Clipper Deluxe Club Coupe in Brandon, WI. Seller claims only 21 of these are left...could that be true? Regardless, his $15K asking price seems steep for a car that needs a ton of work.
