What model uses this shock?

When I bought our '37 Super Eight Convertible Sedan back in '98 it had these rear shocks, which are not correct, according to the Parts Book.
They are much heftier than our other Super Eights.
Are they more appropriate for the Twelve?
Any help is appreciated.
