Hi

Sorry to hear your '48 Eight Deluxe is being written off. Will you or the insurer be able to make it available for parts? It would be good if someone else could salvage what is still good to restore another Packard.

Hope you don't mind if we point out other prospective Packards for your consideration. What models and years are your preference?

Steve

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

Sjscat, I'm really sorry for the loss of your Packard and garage. I sure hope the insurance company doesn't take it to the scrapyard.
I would think the engine, trans, and other items are salvageable. It looks like the wheels, hubcap, and chrome in the front looks perfect.

All the best to you. Let us know what new Packard you pick out.
