Hello to all,
Just reaching out to you Packard folks for some advice. I have (believe it or not) a very large old couch that was owned by the Packard dealer in our town of Centralia, WA. Back in the day he recovered the couch in a beautiful blue 1955 Packard Patrician interior fabric. This was always the story I was told by this person and I was able to confirm from a factory swatch found on this site. Now there's come a time when this old couch has to go. I would think this material would be very important to someone wanting to restore a similar Packard car. What do you folks think? I can send pictures once I figure out how and if there's any interest.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rlongden,

Wow, that is way cool! Thanks for posting. Looks like the couch has been really taken care of and doesn't look worn at all. That is a different upholstery pattern that would take 'just that certain car' to look 'right' in, but I am sure you will get lots of feedback and response. There are just no end to the Packard connections out there! Chris

Thanks Chris,
Yeah I think it's pretty cool too but the wife thinks it's pretty ugly😁. Glad I have a basement.

Hi Mike, Yeah I might be selling it as we are looking to scale down. I sold some Packard advertising stuff to someone from Tacoma several years ago, might it be you?

Nice pics Gerry! That was above and beyond interior back in the day. Wow I see power windows too, didn't know they had that back in '55.
Thanks again for posting those.

Actually, Packard offered power windows operated by a hydraulic system in some 41 models. It was one of the first mfgs to offer them in a passenger car and like being the first mfg to offer a practical Air Conditioning unit with the 40 models, the 41 windows may have been a first too.
