Hi, Riki,

Looks to be a Hash pump. All the 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk oil pumps I've seen have a flat plate bottom cover.

Good pump, but am not sure they'd fit in a Packard oil pan. The Hash has the sump in a different location.

Jack.

This is 56 super motor. Which someone bored out to 4-1/8.

Fits in oil pan.

They also balanced the Pistons. The car was a 56 patrician with 3 on the tree. Std trans put in.

Car is to rusty to save. So the frame I am making a torsion display out of it.

And this engine I am putting in mine . I have a knock in my engine so swapping..

From the second photo it seems only a minor casting flaw and not a crack at all.

Thanks

Ross the crack goes from journal up the counter weight.

I have a 20 under crank. Ready to go ..so will probably use that.

The phone just would not get a good shot.

Another question.

With the oil problems. Why would someone groove the cam.
