That was fun! Nice to get the see what it's like driving a right hand drive Clipper and going around the corner was exciting too.

Incidentally, your original link works if you remove the dot at the end of it. You accidentally linked it too so it became part of the link which, of course, doesn't exist. Simply edit the post and move the dot outside the link code.

My guess is the North Sydney area. As Brian lives nearby I'm hoping it's an "educated guess".

That old lacquer paint sure shines up nicely. The Clipper is fortunate to have found such a good home.

Thanks for "debugging" my link Don.

Well, Mal and Chris. Yes it's very near where I live. Miller and Lavender Streets, North Sydney in fact. Had just been out to the race track at Sydney Motorsport Park.

No... not racing the Packard. Testing a friend's open-wheeler for an upcoming race meeting. Which may actually take place if the coronavirus restrictions are relaxed in time.

Many here have noted how much attention the old Packards get out on the road. I've learnt that's true. Mine attracts more happy reactions and thumbs up than my Ferrari. As my painter (walls not portraits) pointed out, you see Ferraris on the road every day but not Packards.

Have to say the Clipper is quite sprightly off the line though, with the Ultramatic slotted into "D" so it starts in a low gear.

Cheers

Brian

Was invited to take part at an "Independents Day" celebration at my buddy's storage facility to mark the completion of some very fine hand painted graphics by the local sign painter.

So, jumped in the ever faithful 51 200 and drove about 220 miles round trip to join Willys, Nashes, Hudsons, and Studebakers for a short program and terrific lunch in historic Pottstown PA--home of America's oldest continually operating brewery, Yuengling.
