Thanks for the reply, Longjohn. After reading 29tons experience of 'junk after chroming' and a $3K bill, I guess quality of the finished product is the final arbiter in the equation. The guys I am using are on Vancouver Island (Victoria Plating) and have been in business for 55 years, so I BELIEVE I should get a quality result back; I'll be sure to post when I get my hands on the pieces. Chris.

Unfortunately, Oregon Plating is no longer around and Gary died of cancer, perhaps from being around chemicals.
I posted these bills on packard.info before, somewhere. They are 10-15 years old and are for show quality, triple plated chrome on 1940 parts. Gary made little drawings of the parts to make it easier to find them when they were done and account for them.
You might use them for relative costs.

29tons I had Librandi in Middletown Pa .do most of my 39s chrome done 5years ago. They did good work I.M.H.O. the waterfall grill looks excellent. 98% of my brightwork was done by them .Very satisfied , besides you are an hours drive away from them ,go check them out . they are right besides the Harrisburg Airport off the Pa turnpike next to the Susquahanna river.
