I am looking for the “dovetail” that mounts in the driver side door jamb.
It holds the wedge on the drivers door.

That might be a bit tough because you need 30.306, 326065 from another convertible coupe. '38 6 or 8, '39 6 or 120, '40 Super 8 160/180 110 or 120, or '41 Super 8 160/180, 120 or 110.

Check with the usual suspects including David Flack and David Moe.

Thanks for the detail. I sent a pm to David Flack but have not received a response.
Neither Kanter nor Max Merritt have one although Merritt says they can rebuild mine. I doubt that this is possible since the drainer side unit on my car looks like a DIY ....rather poorly done at that.
Ulrich says that most are damaged and suggested getting parts from a Ford and modifying.
I would prefer a usable original. I have not dealt with David Moe but hope he sees this post and responds.

No Have. I have had these rebuilt as well, its a matter of having the two inserts remade, simply a delicate machining operation and not fun to remove/reinstall in the captive sheet metal. But it CAN be done. As for finding GOOD replacements, good luck.

I am not familiar with Ford option? More info please. (kinda like using 68 Mustang window risers for the doors...can be modified...)

The following link will take you to a parts vendor that specializes in Ford/Mercury parts, and their selection covers several decades spanning the year of your Packard. If the comment about Ford parts is accurate you may find something that works.
