1941 Packard 120

Hello. 1941 120 3 speed shown.. My father in law is looking to have the overdrive transmission installed in the photo to replace the 3 speed that is currently in the car. Needs all the parts from the transmission to the dash. Is there someone he can reach out to and discuss this with? He is willing to ship the car and transmission for this service. Thanks

Your location? You will need the overdrive lock out cable (41 and 42 are different then later cars and are "expensive"),Bracket that holds overdrive cable to crossmember, Lower part of bell-housing for fifth bolt, rear single rubber mount for back of transmission (Steel Rubber rebuilds them with exchange of core, thrust shaft from stud on bottom of transmission to rear crossmember, regulator (looks like voltage regulator with six terminals), kick down switch and wire loom (Y an Z makes them). Also might need a rear cross member, I will have to look at my 42 to make sure. The drive shaft need to be shorten or the correct one found. I am sure that I have forgotten something. You will be amazed at the difference it will make in how the 41 moves down the road. Last point is it might be a good time to service the clutch.
