After months of driving the (1954) lawn mower past two parts cars on the back of the property, we decided to combine the two to make a car. And since a 51 200 with no interior has all the resale value of a used Kleenex, have decided to make into a new style of truck--retaining the 4 doors for access under the bed but creating a coupe-style roof. Here are a couple of shots, and an entertaining video

Interesting. Be a good use for a repurposed Packard.

I really like how you included part of the trunk lid into the rear of the car.

Ross, do you ever sell these in the rough for those of us who are already car-poor?

I certainly will sell in the rough. That way you can finish it with color-interior-etc as you wish. On this car the brakes, lines, bearings, fuel system have all already been serviced and no further attention is needed. Engine and trans are good.

I like how the roof was cut to fit and the use of the use of the original rear end as part of the tailgate. I see a lot of promise with this car!

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

I also think it has a very clean and professional look. One reason I asked about getting one in the raw is that I like that look too but I can't think of how to protect the back and roof work to make it match. I doubt I could afford it anyway but I sure like it! Probably a newer one with power brakes and steering with Ultramatic would better suit me anyway,
