Had to have the provider move the virtual server to a new node as they were having reliability issue with the existing one. Sorry for the outage today. Hopefully, this new node is more stable.

I had noticed and mentioned some time ago that topic titles were truncated after the recent move but I hadn't started a new topic myself since then until now. It was cut off after the apostrophe so what should have been PackardDon's 1956 Clipper Custom Sedan became just PackardDon. Can this be fixed and the title put back to what it should be? I've temporarily renamed it PackardDon - 1956 Clipper Custom Sedan so that the title would at least have some meaning.

There are quite a few others like that online too, one of which was for BigKev's own blog. After a new post and seeing the email with the subject of BigKev startled me as my first thought was that bad news was being reported!

Don, I'm not seeing what you are seeing.

My project blog still looks the same. I added a new topic in a forum and the topic "Test's 123" and it worked just fine.

Could it be the type of character you are using?

As threats increase, so do the various protections that have to be in place. One is the code the checks and detects what could be malicious code insertions/SQL injections.

So if it sees certain char sequences it strips those.

I’m using pure ACSII, it happens no matter the browser or OS and I see it on other posts too. Some that originated before the update have the proper title while those after are cut off.

Mike’s 1953 Clipper is a good example. It shows properly in the left menu but somewhere along the line the title was cut off so is has simply Re: Mike.

By the way, I had to make a second capture to get passed the possible attack error message.

It's not a browser issue. This happens when the post is added, not viewed. A single quote is safe. An accent may not be.

It works for me still. When you reply to a post, it inherits the test from the individual post you are replying to. SO if the post already says "Mike" vs "Mike's 53 Clipper", then your post with also say "Mike" you can change the title, as you can see in the test post I just created.

Yes, I've noticed that they are preserved on replies but it cut off my own on a new thread. Many are definitely cut off and I would bet they are all around the same date. One for Rik is the same and now says simply Re: Rik on many of them.
