Hello. Anyone have a source for these? Current one has seen better days (cracked lower body) or is there another carb that is easily adapted to fit this engine?

Thanks.

should be part number or model number somewhere on it. I suspect it's common.
Not sure what motor you have.
FYI" You can look those things up on the side bar tabs in part list, etc.

If it is a Super 2123 limo it should have the 356 engine and that used a Carter WDO 531-S two barrel carb.

Daytona Parts may be able to rebuild yours and supply a part or if not, there are any number of cars that used the same WDO carb but probably with different size jets or adjustments being the major difference for the various number designations. There are quite a few of those other mfgs WDO carbs on ebay at the moment and maybe you could get a parts carb with a good part.

If your car has the little engine (282), Kanter should still have a New Old Stock carb on their shelves. It doesn't come with the switching mechanism for the starter - that bit is extra, and they have it, too. Total tab was between $500-600, as I recall - carb, switch, and shipping.

The big carb is likely a different story.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Carter WD-O 531S. Drat, I sold a decent rebuilt one just a couple weeks ago that had been hanging around forever to Kanter. Is it Packard? Only in the sense of the jetting and the linkage, otherwise its pretty much just another WD-O made by Carter from around 37 to 50. Watch out for Buicks with a 3 bolt base, and 282 Packards with offset bolts in the base.

I also advocate for Daytona or other professional rebuilder.

Wat should root through the carb shelv and see what's there. Could be a 531 on it, if I recall correctly.

If desperate, I have this one in Oregon. It works better than the Stromberg that I replaced. it with. From a '47 Custom 8, 356. My son could. dig it out to get exact numbers. Doesn't have the starter part.

If you send it to Daytona, remove the switch and PUT IT INSIDE THE THROAT to prevent damage. Can be tricky to get parts for the switch.

Just saw your post. I have what I believe is a NOS 531S, keep it for a spare for a Packard that I no longer have. Please let me know if interested
