G;day folks!

I'am hoping for a bit o help.
I have a 1934 1101, its a bit sweaty and the engine is stuck with other issues.
I have come across a freshly rebuilt 1937 engine and transmission.
The question, would they bolt in? Nealry? or no, not going to happen. I can pick them up in Hershey.

I sure appreciate any assistance.

I know a 35 engine will bolt into a 34 chassis so pretty sure a 37 will as well. But is this engine a 37 Super 8? If it is a 120 engine forget about it.

The switch will not work. The '34 crankcase is cast with two "horns" which sit atop the frame rails. The 37 has no such "horns" and is mounted on an upside down U which sits on the front crossmember and attaches to the motor via a rubber insulated mounting to the timing cover.
The 120/Six are mounted in a similar fashion as are most models from 38 to 50. This is a result of the 34 with solid axle and 37 with independent front suspension and the vast frame differences.

The engines are quite different:

34 has chain driven generator and the crankcase casting is different,. 37 is belt driven and timing cover is vastly different
34 has oil cooler fed from side of water jacket plate, 37 is fed from a gooseneck on side of block.

I believe the crank, main bearings, rods, pistons, valves, lifters, cam rockers, lifters and possibly camshaft will interchange.

The transmission will fit both the 34 and 37

Thank you for the responses! I was sent pictures of the '37 engine and trans and it is a 120.
Mine is not beyond hope, I remember it running 35 (?) years ago? It was always covered in a shed with a good roof, so stuck from sitting. Hopefully it isn't a mouse house as my K Lincoln was...

Contrary to jfrom@kanter's comment, the 1934 Eight crankcase is NOT cast with horns that attach to the frame. It utilizes a single front center mount below the water pump not unlike the mount used extensively by Packard thru 1950.
