Possible Scammer

I believe there is a scammer on PackardInfo so be wary. They just signed up today, then referred me to someone for an expensive part that I’m looking for. Their user name is JEAN88 but their display name is JAEN88 or something like that.

In texting their referral, lots of red flags such as trying and failing to get their name (then finally only a first name) and some information on what the project is that they said they need the money for. All very suspicious which is why I looked at the original PM’s sender and saw that they had only just joined.

I just received a PM from someone who also must be 'signed up' to the site with the handle being 'Lindi' wanting to 'find like-minded friends' The avatar is a sexy looking gal??? Obviously nothing Packard-related there. Scammers are everywhere! Chris.

I got it too and I hate to tell her that she’s barking up the wrong tree!

On the scammer I reported, they also sent photos of items that I know they do not own as I recognized the photos from elsewhere.

Probably a good way to get her to stop, though, Don!! Or she might have a 'friend'....

At 71, it’s rather a moot point anyway! I usually tell people that I’m 17 but that I’m dyslexic.

Oh boy! Porn and Packards! Who would have thunk they would invade web site like this?

Lindi probably doesn't know what a Packard is.

I got a PM from 'Lindi' also. Tried to forward it to BigKev but couldn't figure out how to forward a PM......??

Hopefully BigKev or one of the moderators will see this thread and take action.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.
