No argument from me Dave. You're the authority as far as I'm concerned.

Those skirts are looking good..
My Car is Gray. When I cleaned the inner panels the only color I found was black in the groves and under the original rubber.

Ok so I drew up some 3D printed files in Fusion 360 and sent those to my 3D Printer. For $200 each, I have worked these two printers like a Dickenson Orpan over the last 9 months, and they have been great.

Anyways, two hours later, and I have parts that can then be assembled. The base is about 1/4" thick. I stepped the holes on the base side so I could press in the M3 nuts.

Then everything just went together with M3 cap screws I already had.

The bowden cable (not pictured) gets clamped down on the right side, and the inner wire, when the dash knob is pushed in, will press on the microswitch lever. Which, when hooked up in an NC configuration, will turn the choke off. When the dash knob is pulled out, it will release the microswitch lever and turn the choke on.

This is my prototype, so I make need to make a very adjustment to make sure the inner bowden wire is captured currently and directed onto the microswitch lever.

But basically, there is a bowden cable to electrical switch adapter made for less than $5.

The 1/4" large holes in the base are for zip ties to secure it up the dash. Or it could be used for bolts I suppose.

Totally cool
That's my plan someday. Learn 360.

And get a printer

Have you seen the metal bearing resin?

A military grade they make helicopter door henges out of

If they made a rubber pla. Then could make the rubber for the car.
Windshield gasket etc

They make flexible filaments. But most filaments can't hold up to the heat from a car on a hot day. I'm using a consumer-grade printer, so it really can't handle exotic filaments.

I printed this in PLA and made the parts fairly thick to hopefully ward off any warping.

I usually have both printers going 24/7 for a woodworking tool that I make and sell on Etsy.

Scored this from eBay for $2.25!

Even if it just a core that needs to be sent out for rebuild, I still think that's a deal for a correct wiper motor for thr 37.

I can hear it moving air. I may have to hook it up to the '54 to see if it actually works. If not, it will go to Ficken for a rebuild.

Congrats! Cheap at half the price! I can tell you it is identical to the one in my 37. Mine was stuck so yours is already in better shape. Just a good cleaning and lubricated with brake fluid brought mine back to perfect working order so I am sure yours will be very nice.

I figure there is supposed to be some kind of channel attached here that hold the weatherstrip. Mine is lost to time. Can someone provide a picture of what I need to try to find?
