Try thishttp://www.hy-waysales.com then click vehicle inventory. That should work. You were right that the '55 was a Patrician. They list it as a 400 in their inventory, but the picture of the rear shows it as a Patrician.

I was able to go there on a Sunday a week or two before the auction. I was able to look at a lot of the cars, but most of the Packards were not there yet.

OMG they look mint in the pics. I think there will be some unhappy online high bidders. Even the '78 Toronado looks way better in the pics than it actually was. And the '51 Packard was nowhere near as good as it looks in the pics. I'm glad I went in person and saw what they really looked like. Although some of the non-Packards were nice.

Ray Benoy had these Packards and several others stored in an old building he owned in Woodstock, IL with a leaky roof for many years. He moved them to the building that the auction video was shot in about 10 years ago and cleaned them all up, but the damage had already been done. I talked with the guy that towed them to the new building and he said some of them had raccoons living in them at that time of the move. Benoy had been trying to sell them for the last several years and was asking $45,000 for the 400 and $35,000 for the black Patrician. Obviously he didn't have any takers. He does still have a beautiful '55 Caribbean that he restored back in the late '80s. It's too bad that they weren't stored properly.

G'day fireguy1752,

to PackardInfo and perchance do you own a Packard? If you do, could you please consider adding it to the Ownewr Registry here, together with a pic, any known history and how you acquired it?
