Questions about 21st series Limousine

I have some questions about a car that was offered at Vanderbrink Auctions this summer, the catalog was:
1946 Packard Limo 4dr VIN: F592910

The information from the car is as follows.
title: F592910
data plate: original but devoid of markings
motor: F502910
anti theft: 681894
wheel base: 148"
division window and jump seats
front compartment: leather
rear compartment: cloth

Is this car a 1946 or 1947?
Is it unusual for the data plate to be unstamped?
If it were stamped, what would the numbers look like?
Would an identical car bear an identical data plate and numbers?
Are these cars identified by the motor number on a title or is there another number?
Is the factory build sheet available?
The car was of slight interest to me at the time but curiosity remains active and I appreciate any feedback.
Thanks

I drove 6 hours to look at the car and passed. These cars are striking when done. I am doing a body off on a '46 Limo and thought perhaps a survivor might be nice too. Call for more information. #309.935.6022 (IL)

It's probably a '46 based on the engine number.
It is unusual for the data plate to be completely blank but probably not unheard of.
The vehicle number would look something like 2I5I-xxxx (model - xxxx = serial number).
An identical vehicle would not have the same serial number.
The number used for the title varies by state. The theft-proof, engine and vehicle number have all been used according to posts from members.
There might be a copy of the build sheet still stuck to the top of the glove box or elsewhere in the car. Otherwise, no.

The car is currently on eBay. It appears to have some issues, but is quite a looker.

F502910 would make it a '47, would it not?

I'm just going by Big Kev's engine serial number chart. For the Custom/Super Clipper it shows F500001 - F505999 as being 1946. 1947 shows as F506001 - F521999.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong?

The first two digits "16" in the body number indicate that the cars were 21st series cars with the 1946 model year. The "16" is changed to a "21" for the 1947 model year.

So if this car is a 1946 according to its motor number then do we agree that the model number is 2126 and the vehicle number should be in the form of 1650-xxxx because it is a 4dr limo 7p (divider window)?? Thanks for all input.

Many Thanks for the list!

Was the motor number stamped into the frame?

Yes. The vehicle number would be I650-2xxx (serial starts at 2001).

The engine number is only stamped on the engine. Just below the head on the drivers side. It can be difficult to see.
