Whats Attached to my 1082 Master Cylinder?

I am taking apart a rough 1937 115C 1082 I picked up in North Carolina. I needed a few parts from it for my 1090 Limo. In doing so I found an oddity to me and was wondering what is attached to the front of the master cylinder? I have had many 37's but none ever had anything like this on the front. Thanks in advance.

Oh if anyone needs some parts off this the only thing I needed was the two fender to grille shell chrome pieces and the front upper fender supports. Just PM me if you need something. I have lots of parts just not this car worth.

1936 and 1937 120's Are what we like best. But we also like all other Packards too.

Believe that might be the NoRol accessory. Is there a lever on the side with a link or rod going toward clutch pedal linkage?

Might be the NoRol, on the front inboard side there is what looks like a on/off slider with about 6 inches what looks similar to a mechanical brake cable that has been rusted through. It is still going through the slider. I could not see anything attached to the clutch pedal assy, area however.

Can't think of anything else it could be except NoRol & don't know if anyone besides Bendix made them. I've only seen rods that connect to clutch but I guess a cable would work if it were spring loaded in some way to ensure return.

The shape of the unit with the long stem connecting the pipe loop to master as is the other mounting to frame and cylinder looks slightly different than units I've seen.

Interesting idea. Would better fit the cable operation and what appears to be a split fluid output from master.

Hard to think a 115C would be a first choice for a racer but maybe I'm missing something. A bunch of good old boys with their daily drivers at the ready for Saturday night??

Got back from a quick vacation and removed the master cylinder. Lo and behold it is a NoRol unit, way to go Howard. Below are some pictures. Only thing is it says Wagner on both the master cylinder and on the NoRol unit. I wonder when this was put on this car? Wonder if its worth rebuilding and putting on one of my 37's? Looks like the shaft is gone but the adjuster is still there.

Nice find. If it's in decent shape inside and you can find new seals and copper rings of the right size then I think it's a worthwhile move. I took one off a parts car and added it to a 40 I briefly owned. Made a world of difference since stick shifts and I don't get along well unless the road is perfectly level. Just sorry I wasn't smart enough to remove it when I traded that car. Never ran across another one.

As mentioned earlier, that unit is a bit different than others I've seen. When you take it apart, would be curious about the fluid flow. Am guessing the hex bolt looking affair between cylinder and NoRol is actually drilled for the inlet passage. Exit is the pigtail tube into the brass banjo connection and then out to wheels. Not the typical banjo fitting with the brass drilled thru to center. On that one the fluid passages are totally separate?? Just guessing though and if not correct, would appreciate knowing how it's plumbed.
