Thanks to another thread I discovered that my 23rd series has a vacuum powered antenna (I had thought that the knob to the left of the steering column was a dash light dimmer)

Is there a way to brighten or dim the dash lights on this car?

Good question. I'm curious now as well. Schematics don't show a resistor on the switch and while it's hard to say for sure there doesn't appear to be one on the switch assy BDeB posted.

The owners manuals just say on or off for the flite glo instruments. I'm wondering how you would change the luminescence. IIRC, even when relatively new there were complaints about dim instrument lights. Some time back there were some posts & links on where to purchase the paint & repainting with new luminescent paint. Don't recall if anyone mentioned how well that worked.

The paint I used gave mediocre results. Perhaps there is a better paint now.

I'm a lucky one in that the numerals on my gauges are as if they were new. It's my eyesight that needs to be renewed, LOL
