Could someone please tell me what year this is. I was over at a friend house and it was in a chest of antique tools he had. Unfrotunatley the wings are missing. Thanks.

very similar to a 51. It might be an aftermarket version though.

Just realized I forgot dimensional data if it helps.
Bolt centers is 1 1/16 inch, 2 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches long.

Just look on the underside. There should be a six digit Packard part number. I think it starts with 403---. This one looks like a J C Whitney.

Here are some photos of a correct Packard hood ornament body for 1948 to 1951 models.

The part number cast into the base is 407014.
