Also to answer your question on how they are measured, the "clips" proper are just LxW, but I believe the leaf shaped ones are measured by the trim size they are for, so are harder to measure to buy replacements as you can't e.g. just measure their length.

HH56 is spot on as usual. I found suitable T-bolt on clips at NAPA and an autobody supply store.

I would like to add that Jeff at restoration specialties is VERY helpful! If you can send him a sample they may be able to match it up.
I couldn't find what I needed in their catalog, but I sent him photos of the length, width, height and he supplied me with suitable replacements. Good luck

I checked out both the ebay store and catalog for Restoration Specialities.

That catalog is huge and hard to search but I found what I needed.

The wire clips are on page 122 / part #2347J

The other thing is on page 133 / part #2517

I even looked at some of the more modern plastic clips to use but the prices are about the same. I don't have a count yet but I am looking at $100+ for these clips.

Polished up the PACKARD letters for the hood. They are not perfect but they will do for now.

Thanks to Gerry at Packards Southwest. He came through again. This time with the front fender chrome. I have the originals but the chrome was pitted along the top and needs re-done. He had a pair for me that are in much better shape than my originals.
The front windshield seal arrived this week. The new glass is still in the box as it's safer right there for now.
Hoping to get the rear glass in soon.

My air compressor started acting up and I am in a hurry to get the doors painted. It never fails to happen. The new pressure switch should be in tomorrow.

I had some help yesterday and we were able to get the rear windshield installed.
It was surprisingly not as complicated as expected. There was a little swearing but nothing to make you blush. Putting that 5/8" rope in the grove weeks ago worked out great. The lower portion practically installed itself. I replaced it with a 3/8" rope during the actual installation.
We accidentally knocked one side of the upper chrome out of place. Getting that back in place will probably require even more swearing.

Nice job on the paint and install. Definitely a lot harder than it looks.

I hate to say it but you may have to remove the window to get that piece seated properly again. On my Clipper I was not able to get the top pieces to seat properly installing them after the windshield. Though the Clippers had only 2 pieces, not 3.

When I installed my windshield I did not put the stainless trim in first. I had no idea that's how it was supposed to be done. Instead I did it after (two pieces on my Clipper Super) and it was definitely a pain in the neck. But doable. I used lots of soap, some screwdrivers and rope to open the channel, then in the end, gently tapping with a rubber mallet to fully seat the trim into the groove.

Congrats on getting the glass installed. I hate doing it. I have a new windshield to replace my cracked one, and I have no desire to go through the trouble to replace it again.

Well, that was easy enough.

I was thinking about some vinyl siding that needs to be repaired on one of my outbuildings. The section that needs to be repaired is near the ground so, I need to get one of those little tools that allow you to reach under the vinyl and pull down the lower lip to un-hook and re-hook the two vinyl pieces together. This allows you to repair the vinyl w/o having to take it all down from the top. Anyway, the needed tool in the first image gave me an idea of how to get that windshield trim re-installed. Toolmaking.jpg & Toolmaking2.jpg is the final tool. I used a can of silicone spray and sprayed the seal. Then I inserted the tool into the trim as close to my starting point as possible, shown in ToolInserted1 & 2 below. Then it was just a matter of sliding the tool toward the edge while pulling open the seal and forcing the trim into the opening. It took a couple of tries but it worked well along the top. As I moved down to the side I realized that the curve of the glass and trim did not like that 2" wide tool. So, I made a second tool that was about 3/4 of an inch wide also shown below.

I made my own tool using some scrap 22 gauge sheet metal that I have. I made it about 2" wide because the trim was so long I figured the extra width would help and it did. First I bent about 1/4 piece and hammered the flat to create a crisp edge. Then I used a chisel to pry it back out a little. The 2nd tool is also below. Both tools got bent out of shape along their length as I worked but the "hook" in the seal held up the whole time. I am very glad that I taped up the roof. Otherwise, I would have scratched the hell out of my new paint a few times.
Be sure to file down any sharp edges on the tool before using it.
Alright, what's my next challenge?

Def jelly of your rear window fitment.

FYI… no idea if this is a vendor that just places the order with quiet ride or if they have them in stock… my guess is vender and they don’t actually have a way to make it. I never heard from them either btw. I tried.

In the item specifics it says the brand is QuietRide Solutions so they are a vendor and I wonder if the price is the same if going direct to Quietride.

The seller also lists several colors of precut 55-6 carpets. With that many colors available probably made of modern pattern carpet. They may have a plenum in stock but suspect you are correct in that they order whatever as needed rather than tie money up in inventory on slow moving items like carpet and plenums.
