I didn't mess with the top rubber.. There is a piece that goes there I cut it out.

Then just used a screw to hold it.

That rubber is to expensive.

And glue

This is the old one

The new would be covered by the felt.

I used not. 4 flat head screws.

Where all the rivets were.

It has been 9 or 10 years since I removed some of these parts so forgive me for asking dumb questions as I reassemble them.
The image below is the stainless piece that goes behind the rear fender well. Is the smaller, narrow piece (circled) part of this? I am thinking that the upper lip of the stainless fits over the top of that little rail once it is screwed into the car. I just need confirmation.
The driver's side piece shined up pretty well but the passenger side was mangled. Gerry will check for a replacement for me this weekend.

I actually had the same question last year on my 400. Ross said the circled part is "the retainer for" the larger part.

Still not on my car yet so I can't confirm your suspicion on the installation orientation.

Thank you for that info. That was a good guess on my part as I found one piece in the attic of my shop and the other piece on a shelf. They should have been taped together long ago.
It was no problem to mount it on the car and that in itself is surprising. I had to replace all the sheet metal in that area and somehow it fits perfectly.
Also got one of the window frame pieces Those fuzzies on the stainless front door window flap is going to be fun to remove. I can see at least 4 crimps on top and bottom (and rust along the whole length). I'll try to do as little damage as possible.

Yeah those are an annoyance on my car too. Haven't been able to get them off yet and they are squeaky.

Do you happen to recognize what this part is? I assume it's supposed to be straight. Pretty sure it's one of a pair.

Is it the metal core that holds rubber on the rear door b-pillar seal?

Maybe door rubber

I know the 56 had something like that on bottom of door.

Wait till you get to the rear. Window trim

Mine still is not screwed in.

On the top rail they used something like window setting tape.

And doubled it up for gaps.

I have a 400 but there's a slim chance it was off of a 56 Patrician and I grabbed it by accident.

I think it is too short for under the door on a 400.

I have 2 of them off of my 400. They are straight. I agree with others that they are probably the support for a seal that is long gone but I have no clue which seals. I tried lining up those tabs with the holes in the door but nothing fit.
