hole in radiator

I would like any help in repairing a hole I poked in my radiator last night. My auto is a 1951 300. I have sweated my copper pipes together in my house, and I did lead work on my Packard, so I have the equipment available,
(I hope). I would like some guidance.
Thanks in advance

Dear Casey:

If a tube has a hole that will require some careful work.

You need a good liquid flux like Ruby and 60/40 solder (60 tin/40 lead), and a good hot propane torch.

Once the metal is tinned you can fill the hole, but most radiator shops might just pinch it off if it non-serviceable.

If there is any corrosion, forget it, but you can try to pickle the area first with hydrochloric acid.

Hope this helps
