Eisenhower's staff car was a Packard Clipper with factory air. I have a picture of it! Now that one might be worth $10,000!

The '53 doesn't need a home, it is a home. Never seen a car for sale before where the buyer might have to evict the tenants. And spray for bedbugs.

Regarding the 120's asking price and the estimated restored value (and I use the term loosely), does "optimistic" mean "delusional?"

Asking for a friend . . . .

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Not surprised that '47 Clipper went so quickly......very low price for a running 8 cylinder car if it is indeed a rust free (which I guess you would expect in Tucson).

Wat, I think you underestimate Fred, she already knew about this car before you did.

I think Eisenhower's car was a 42. The military had lots of Clippers. I don't think that, technically, the military is part of the government. They have their own judicial code. Military governance is martial law. When I worked for the Army I signed I statement that I would never undertake to overthrow or subvert the US government. That includes things like breaking down the door to Pelosi's office, spraying mace on Capital police, or trying to hang the Vice President.

Not a fan of Pelosi and her gang but the Capitol is a sacred seat of our government regardless of the political party. It should not be violated.
