Wow, can't imagine how many of those are left that are decent projects.

If I won the lottery yesterday I'd pick that up in a heartbeat.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

1937 twelve sedan turned into a roadster. Note to the data plate: its stamped 1938. Was this a leftover?

That is the date the car was delivered for warranty purposes. I'd imaging 12s required a specific buyer.

If you crawl through the service literature the Twelves were slow sellers. There are a lot of admonitions about flat batteries and stuck valves in Twelves from sitting around in inventory.

There has been a series of articles in the Classic Car Club magazine about the sales of the Cadillac V16s. A number them traveled to several dealers before they were sold. I suspect the same thing happened to a lot of Senior Packards.

Those were tough times.

Best

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

I've spotted the '41 on Craigslist before. Hard to tell from the photos, but it appears to actually be a 1940 110 sedan. This is the same model as my first Packard which I purchased in 1980. Have had many Packards since.

One from Hemmings.

1956 400, black and white Tuxedo. Original interior in red leather and black cloth looks great. Besides the sagging dash padding, everything else looks great. Looks like original paint, some wear, chrome overall pretty good.

Sounds like it needs some work to the torsion suspension. I'd say for the price, this is an excellent car. $9500.

Recent Craigslist posts:

1953 Clipper sedan. Ok, it is a piece of junk, but it has a three-speed manual trans instead of an Ultramatic. Might be just what you need if you want to convert your car to standard shift. Cheap at $1,000 and it at least runs. Located in CT:

1948 22nd Series short wheelbase sedan. Can't tell exact model. Body looks very solid. Interior redone with modern fabrics. Not correct pattern but looks ok. Exterior very original. Probably needs paint unless you really like patina on your cars. Washington, D.C. area:

https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/d/accokeek-1948-packard/7580287757.html

1948 Custom 8 Club Sedan. Very rare model, solid body and nice original interior. Needs exterior cosmetics. Located in Ohio at a classic car dealership:

https://columbus.craigslist.org/ctd/d/dublin-1948-packard-custom-2-door-club/7582135383.html

1955 400 Hardtop. Looks pretty nice. Car is located in San Diego even though ad is posted from Texas:

1947 Custom Super 8 Club Sedan. Fully restored and stunning in dark blue with matching interior. One of the very few of this model in existence. Love it. Located in Idaho:

1940 160 Convertible Sedan. Appears to be beautifully restored. Phoenix, AZ:

Beautifully restored 1941 120 Sedan. Lovely two-tone green paint scheme. Also in Phoenix:

1953 Clipper Deluxe. One of the nicest examples I have seen of this model. Looks sharp in solid black. Renton, WA:

https://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/cto/d/renton-1953-packard-clipper/7581465562.html

1949 22nd series sedan in CA. Think it might be a Super 8. Probably a bit pricey for this model:

https://mendocino.craigslist.org/cto/d/yorkville-1949-packard-sedan/7585006727.html

1948 Convertible. Appears to be a 22nd Series Super 8. Partially completed restoration. Only one photo, so not sure what you would be getting here. Southern CA. Ad states that the car runs and drives:

The Washington DC 48 sedan looks to be an Eight (not Deluxe) based on no upper window stainless and no inserts in garnish moldings
