The 40-160 Conv.Sedan in Phoenix/Glendale is owned by a previously active forum member, who is terminally afflicted with Forditis. The 160 is a really good car, fully mechanically sorted and ready for a new owner. A really good opportunity for a real Packard guy, not a Ford Guy in disguise...

I knew Jim was talking about selling the 40 160 Conv Sedan. It's a neat car that I've personally rode in.

I was going to Google "Forditis" then realisation of what it meant hit me. A terrible "disease"!

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

That 55' is definitly priced high.

It Always amazes me how people can ask so much money and put so little effort into the presentation. If everything works and is truly rust free what could this be worth based on the pics?13-14k?

It looks like the drivers side door is missing the interior panel.

I always did like the spoked rims though. Was that a option from the factory?

The interior fabric isnt origional is it?

I believe those are spoked wheel covers rather than rims and they look rather tacky! I've seen them on other Packards but haven't looked to see if they were a factory accessory or not.

These are the ones I like, not the wheel covers. Definitly a difference when comparing the two.

Yes, I like the wire wheels too and have a set of five originals that I am trying to decide what to do with. I had thought of putting them on my 1954 Patrician and tried one on which looked quite nice but they are more appropriate for a 2-door hardtop or convertible than they are for a sedan.
