Here are a few recent CL posts:
1928 526 Convertible Coupe. This car has been for sale for several years and keeps popping up from time to time. You would think that the seller would cut the price, but he keeps raising it. I like the car, but think he is way out of the ballpark. Car does have some charming features. Note the Clymer windshield spotlight; a popular accessory of the 1920's. Original documentation is impressive. Located in Lowell, MA. https://nh.craigslist.org/cto/d/1928-packard-coupe-model-526/7585439111.html 1948 Packard Standard Eight sedan in Maryland. Model No. 2292. Original exterior, interior has been reupholstered in modern materials. https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/d/accokeek-1948-packard/7591369390.html 1957 Clipper Town Sedan. Ad says it is a '58 but it is definitely a '57. Very rusty and rough and probably only good for parts. Note '54 Henney hearse in the background of one of the photos. Located in Johnstown, PA. https://altoona.craigslist.org/cto/d/johnstown-1958-packard/7593566194.html 1951 Packard 200 Deluxe Sedan. Looks pretty rough, but body appears to be relatively solid. Milwaukee, Wi: https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/d/madison-1951-packard-ultra-matic/7588059256.html 1946 Clipper sedan. Needs everything. Albuquerque, NM, so it is probably rust free, at least: https://albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/d/belen-46-packard-clipper/7585752649.html Very nice original 1941 Clipper. Looks great. Ad states 25K original miles. Oregon: https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/d/troutdale-1941-packard-clipper/7593645738.html Beautifully restored 1951 200 Deluxe sedan. Looks like it might be a deal. Bellingham, WA: https://bellingham.craigslist.org/cto/d/ferndale-1951-packard-200-ultramatic/7586532859.html 1956 Clipper Super. Nearly completed restoration. Does not look like it needs much more, other than some reassembly. Sacramento, CA: https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/sacramento-1956-packard-super/7595060495.html Beautifully restored 1953 Patrician. Think it is one of the nicest I've seen of this model. Love the two-tone blue paint scheme. Los Angeles, CA area. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/d/torrance-packard-patrician-400/7585418247.html Not that much on CL anymore. Looks like more people are using FB these days.

The 1956 Clipper Super in Sacramento appears to have Executive trim even though everything else is Clipper.
The 1953 Patrician looks very nice but appears to have non-original upholstery fabric. As for paying Craig's List, maybe you're not aware that it is owned by eBay which charges a whole lot more!

You can post anything for free except for cars. They killed the classic car ads with the $5 fee. It's not the money it's the hassle.

Ebay does not own craigslist. They had a 25% stake at one point but divested themselves of it in 2015, according to wikipedia.
Not concerned about spending five bucks to post an ad. now if they start charging to READ an ad, they can go screw themselves.

I don't disagree but let's remember that before that the cars section was pretty much impossible to browse without a very specific idea of what you wanted, due to every local car dealer dumping their entire inventory onto the website, even though technically that was not allowed.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish. |

"The 1953 Patrician looks very nice but appears to have non-original upholstery fabric."
At this point in time, with SMS being the only source (if that) for any upholstery fabric that has any chance of being "original", I wouldn't think this would be a very big mark against a car. Maybe the Packard Club judges would disagree, however. I don't want to wait 2 years for fabric. In my case, I got something very close from LeBaron-Bonney, now sadly closed.

I think that the upholsterer did a really nice job of duplicating the original pattern, even if the correct fabric was not used. You have to admit that it does look good and the colors blend well with the car. Sometimes, you just have to make compromises with a restoration. The original wool fabric, if even still available, may just have been prohibitively expensive for the owner's budget.
