Expensive but very nicely restored 53 convertible
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/546823457387843/

Bard find 400. It reminds me of my first Packard, rusty, with a smashed back window and destroyed back seat, except this one is missing parts too, and 7 times the price. Shame because the color scheme is nice and there's only 37k miles on the clock, but I'd be surprised if that wasn't rolled over.

1937 sedan model in MI. I'd buy it if it was local.

Packard offered those colors together in 1948, but not as a two-tone combination

1955 400 - Spokane, WA. White and black exterior, red interior. Paint is rough, will likely need some rust repair on body. Engine non-running. Interior is in surprisingly good condition minus the carpet. No pictures of the headliner or lack thereof. Price is right to restore.....$2,500.

1955 Clipper hardtop - Bellevue, WA. Only poor pictures, no information in the listing. Nice color combo. If it's in decent condition it would make a good driver for the price....$8,500.

A "yard find" condition 55 Patrician with major issues in almost every respect, posted for $9500. Even in the heyday of 50's car value, I'm sure this still would have been a highly inflated value, especially for a sedan style, so it's anyone's guess how the seller came up with that number. It's hard to imagine paying even 10% of the asking price.

I know we all know what a 55 Patrician is, but it's interesting to compare directly with what even a half-decent one of the same paint and upholstery looks like:

https://www.virtualparking.net/post/1245/1955-packard-patrician

Oh, and not even a title for it.

On the other hand, here's a 51 200, all original with only 12k miles.

Kevin, Don’t you need another project? The Packard sounds perfect! On the Clipper in Bellevue, I lived there in the ‘60s and nearly bought a 1955 Clipper for $35 from a classmate in collage. Well, not a classmate since we had no classes together but we went to the same collage and she had the car there with a For Sale sign in the window.

We have a family story about how one of my uncles, when he was in high school, was gifted a c. '58 Ford station wagon from his dad, that by that point dripped or burnt just as much oil as gas, it seemed, and with rust holes in the floor from the New Jersey winter road salt. Though he would just drive it around town, eventually this got to be too much and he sold it to a classmate for $35. A week later he saw it parked in a vacant lot with the license plates missing. 😂

That 51 200 is the most original I have seen in 50 years of being around Packards. It has probably been repainted, but all of the other details look completely untouched.

Looks like the '55 400 sold already. Not surprised....that was a great price for a solid project.

That '51 200 is beautiful. Expensive, but it's a great time capsule.
