Very... unusual '52. Needs work and unclear if it has the original drivetrain. Seller is asking 5500, but I wouldn't want it for half that.

Wildly historically inaccurate as this type of nose art was only seen on WWII military aircraft. If he had done this with a prewar Clipper, I could sort of get it, but not on a 1952 200.

General McArthur did have a Packard staff car during WWII but it was a 1942 Clipper. With Air Conditioning. Not sure if he used in Korea. And I really doubt he would have gone for the scantily clad woman painted on the fender!

This kind of reminds me of the time I was watching a movie set in Europe during WWII and in one scene, you see General George S. Patton arriving at HQ in a 22nd Series bathtub Packard done up as a staff car. No excuse for this other than sloppy research.

Couple of new FB Marketplace Packards:

1940 110 Sedan. Somewhat battered unrestored original barn find car. Ad states car has been stored for over 60 years. Certainly looks it. Lots of dents and a trashed interior. Montana:

facebook.com/marketplace/item/3573664173 ... e10d121-fb71-400b-b734-c80a060678c7

1953 Clipper two door sedan. Base model Clipper. Needs everything, but body look really solid and chrome looks decent. Car looks like it has been left outside for quite a while. I also see what looks like a 1936 Terraplane in the background of one photo. Oregon:

1956 400. Needs full restoration but body looks very straight with little if any rustout. Somebody messed around with the trans and put in what looks like a Hurst shifter. West coast car. Apple Valley, California:

New Postings

1937 120 Business Coupe. Very solid and complete unrestored original that has been in storage for many years. Looks to have a lot of potential, but probably pricey at the $20K asking price. Rochester, NY:

That 1955 is... not very nice...

See this thread from when I was considering buying it 2 years ago.

The current seller has done next to no additional work on it.

packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb ... 5864&post_id=276390#forumpost276390

What's funny is the current guy is listing it as 132k miles. When the previous owner was hawking it to me, he said it was 32k. But then I noticed the odometer didn't even work... 😂

Few more for today.

1951 200 Deluxe Sedan. Beautiful car and one of the nicest examples I have seen of this model. Solid black with grey cloth interior which looks original. Very clean show quality car with excellent paint and chrome. Has stick shift instead of the usual Ultramatic. Ad states 45K original miles. I do not think you will find a nicer one if you want an early 50's Packard. Asking $12K. Tulsa, OK:

1941 120 Touring Sedan. Excellent older restoration. Looks sharp in dark maroon with wide whites. Asking $20K. Cailfornia

facebook.com/marketplace/item/3714138826 ... 80fad72-6c03-42ba-b747-fc7a8a71d062

1937 115C Touring Sedan. Solid unrestored, looks complete but has modern wheels. Running condition. Asking $10K which is probably too much for one in this condition. California:
