In some ways the Clipper was unique at the PI Meet as well, as Jim pointed out, as you dont often see restored 4 door Clippers at any of the shows. They are usually sacrificed for parts to get more desirable cars back on the road. So it that aspect, people really did like it. Also, that color for sure draws attention.

I am certainly happy to see that you are now enjoying your Clipper on the open roads of So Cal. Good times for you!

And Doughnut Derelicts ? Now that sounds so much more like my speed Kevin. Next year I'll follow you & Jim over for a cup of Joe in HB. And truth be told, I never met a doughnut I didn't like.

A few more photos of the shows. Sorry that I didn't write down the names of the owners, but I was more interested in the cars. The fun one was the 41 limo. It had been modified for a wheelchair - the ramps slide out from under the floor. Pretty cool.

A few more photos. I enjoyed the swap meet; quite a few vendors there, some with real bargains. I found the gear I needed for my 39 120 vent window winder as well as the cover for my undersea heater. Also bought a Packard shirt, hat, and 35-41 service advisory book - now that is a treasure! Also got to meet Bigkev and see David Flack again.

ok - now here is an engine I need! Also a nice 28 6 cylinder model that was there for the swap meet, but not the show. Another pretty Clipper and a very nice convertible for sale - I didn't ask the price as I didn't have my heart medicine with me. One artsy shot of the 34 in the lobby.

David,

Thanks for taking and sharing the pictures.

One of these days I will go to that meet, but it sounds like I should bring a truck for parts!

I enjoyed the Meet. I drove my 55 Clipper from Phoenix and it did well. The swap meet was lots of fun and I spent too much and should have bought more. But I did enjoy the dinner on Saturday night, we had at least 20 people at the restaraunt.
The picture shows my 55 Clipper with BigKev's 54 Clipper and Robert McAtee's 54 Patrician (also from Phoenix, AZ).

Great shot Dwayne. Three different cars, 4 different blues.

Roberts 54 is Meridian Blue. My '54 is Bikini Blue, and I don't know the names of the two blues on your '55.
